Hospital Bags

Note from Teresa, Tom, and Tara on the outside of the bag:

On October 5, 2007, 4:30 am, my husband and I were awoken by a highway patrol. Our son, a USC freshman had been in an accident in Columbia, he had fallen from his 5th floor window. Of course we jumped up got in the car and drove the 90 eternal minutes from Greenville to Columbia. We were given a bag in the trauma ICU from a Christian family who had lost a son in an accident, much like the one you are holding. That bag was a Godsend to us; we carried it with us the entire week Taylor was in the hospital. We hope that it also gives you some comfort in having some tangible comfort items. But we also hope you get some peace in knowing that you are not alone in this journey, others are on it as you are now. We felt God as we struggled and hoped and worried and all the emotions that overwhelmed us. You may be overwhelmed too. Taylor allowed us a week to love and talk and be with him before he went home to Heaven on October 11, 2007.

We wish you peace in your journey.
